The TBI Bandung E-Club was certainly busy recently. We have had a charity event, a garage sale, a Ramadhan fast-breaking  more recently on 12 September, 2009 we had a workshop “Backpacking Around the World”. This free workshop was attended by TBI students from both Jawa and Dago and was hosted by our senior teacher Kirsty Downie.

We also invited a guest speaker, Nancy Margaretha, who has written a book about backpacking around Europe and is currently working on her second book. The workshop started when Kirsty gave the participants a list of countries that are favourite destinations for backpackers around the world and surprisingly, Bali was in second place!

The workshop continued with tips and tricks on how to save money while traveling. Participants had a lot of fun!  Nancy did impressions of different nationalities speaking in English, which we all found very funny!

 After the workshop it was time to break the fast, E-clubbers provided food.  Delicious nasi liwet and es kelapa muda... What a happy ending after a lot of fun and a very insightful workshop.
