Every Ramadhan, E-Club Bandung has an annual Charity Event. From the first day of Ramadhan, the E-club starts working to collect donations from our TBI Family (students, parents, staff and teachers). This year we received so many different things from everyone. They donated money, used clothes, books, toys and shoes.  (as we always say you may not use them anymore but other people can).

After a strong earthquake registering 7.3 on the Richter scale struck the Tasikmalaya district on 2 September and destroyed or damaged 4,365 houses, killed 59 people, seriously injured another 75  and left 40 people missing and 363 people with minor injuries, in the spirit of our 25th anniversary theme, Touch the Future with Love, we decided to donate the contributions to the earthquake victims.

On  September 11, 2009, we went to Tasikmalaya to give the donations. We visited two aid stations in Cisayong and Cikoneng.  We also went to see the victims. The conditions were devastating: several families were living in tents and children could not go to school because their homes and schools had collapsed.

When we were there we spoke to the victims and played with the children hoping that our contributions and efforts would ease the hard times that they are going through now.

The help we have received from TBI as well as the public has been very generous in sending a message of help and support to those who have been affected more so during this disaster than others.
